Nature's Prisoner

Yonder the flowers fell in silence.
Gone are their gifted fragrance.
Sorrow shall not bring thy tears
For truly they were never yours.
Though thou did behold their charm,
At distance they did no good no harm;
Unknown of this silent admirer
They pretended nothing but what they were.
And here's the wind hold dead leaves
So lightly with no sighs no heaves;
Singing in ears undecipherable melody.
Take me too in your journey.
And the sky is prettier at the night
With the lovely moon smiling bright.
When all asleep in this silence,
Oh Night! Why your beauty is so intense?
Truly, my heart you did conquer
And my eyes you did capture
And left me stand as an admirer.
Oh nature! I am your prisoner.
But I love these chains and this trap
For I have fallen on your lap.
I would have written even more
If I were born even before.
Helpless to know what years would leave,
Let me write when you are still alive.
